• Fracture repair: choose the plate type according to patient weight and the fracture type and geometry.
• TPLO: select the implant according to the planned saw-blade cutting radius and patient weight.
• TTA: select the wedge according to the advancement required and the size of the tibia.

No. Weight guidance is one input. Procedure, anatomy, bone quality, fracture or osteotomy geometry, activity level and construct planning also matter. The veterinarian must determine the appropriate implant and technique for the individual patient.

Within each system, all screw diameters fit all plate sizes. OsTi-Lok 2.4, 2.7 and 3.5 mm screws (series 101) fit OsTi-Lok fracture and TPLO plates, including series 100–104. MINI 1.5 and 2.0 mm screws (series 050) fit all MINI fracture plates. This does not make OsTi-Lok and MINI instruments interchangeable. TTA combinations must be checked against each plate’s instructions.

Screw–drill reference: LS locking and CS compression screws of a diameter share the listed pilot-drill size.

Color helps identify the screw family; confirm the complete screw SKU, compatible drill code and current labeling before use. The colors above refer to screws, not drill-bit markings. See the catalog screw/instrument pages.

It depends on the implant and the clinical situation. OsTi-Lok plates and screws may be removed or revised by the treating veterinary professional when clinically indicated. TTA wedges are 3D-printed porous implants designed for bone ingrowth; because bone can grow through their porous structure, they are not intended for routine removal and removal can be difficult. Any removal or revision requires case-by-case clinical planning, the current surgical technique, and compatible instruments.

OsTi-Lok plates and screws are manufactured from Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy and receive Type II anodization.

Quick Guides are low-profile guides for selected OsTi-Lok plate holes with angled screw trajectories. They are sold separately; only OsTi-Lok TPLO plates are also offered with guides preinstalled by hand in the angled screw holes. Match the guide, plate, screw and drill codes before use.

Quick Guides are used in designated angled screw holes. On OsTi-Lok TPLO plates, they can be ordered preinstalled in those holes. They are not preinstalled on other plate families. For a separately purchased guide, match its code to the specified hole and follow the current product instructions.

Yes. Quick Guides are reusable after appropriate cleaning, inspection and sterilization. OsteoCertus implants and instruments, including Quick Guides, are supplied non-sterile and must be sterilized before use according to the applicable product instructions and your practice’s validated process. Inspect a reused guide and do not use it if damaged or if it does not seat correctly.

Preinstalled Quick Guides are placed by hand. They can be removed by hand or, when needed, with the OsTi-Lok T10 screwdriver. Follow the current instructions for the specific plate and guide; confirm the guide is fully removed before finalizing the construct.

Keep the product and packaging, and provide the product code, lot number, clear photos and a factual description of what occurred. Do not modify or discard the item unless instructed. Urgent patient-care decisions belong to the treating veterinary team.

Include your contact information, product and lot codes, order reference, date of use, compatible instruments used, photos or imaging when appropriate, and a concise sequence of events. Remove patient-identifying information unless it is specifically required through an approved secure channel.

The published Quality Guarantee provides replacement or credit, at no cost, for products that fail to perform as intended under normal use within its use limits.
